CDV will be playing a special show at Red Star in London on Friday, and, while it's a private party, we've got five tickets for nice Crack Fans who want to come. If you do, send us a mail - HERE!

June 16th 2003: We are ALIVE!!!
Phew. Manchester we survived, and Egg we did too. Cheers for The Love, dear people, and we look forward to entertaining you again, soon.

Akira wrote a wee diary about it over on his page...

June 11th 2003: Lock up your daughters!
Former Crack DJ Slepton joined Name and Akira in spinning some wicked tunes in the Lock Tavern last night, and it was well cool. Big up him.

Anyway, WE ARE COMING BACK TO MANCHESTER! Which makes us excited. Carpetface is coming too. Big up me tug! Check the gigs page for full info, ja?

June 11th 2003: Lock up your daughters!
OK, the Stormcrow set was on some seriously inspirational freestyle shit. Thanks to those who came down and showed love.

OK, weird as it may sound, we're advising you to head to Camden tonight - Name and Akira will be DJing all night at the Lock Tavern, whihc is a nice place. Expect dancehall, rap, power metal and all the other good stuff. Whoo! Oh, and Akira and Kool Kid will be emceeing down at SOAS ebforehand. Hibbadey!

June 6th 2003: Beware: STORMCROW!!!
Crack VIllage will be the special guest emcees for the evil and terrifying STORMCROW at the Foundry tonight. See the gigs page for more. Fuck the weather!

June 4th 2003: MILLENNIUMMMMM!
That's right happy Cracklings - Crack De Ville are playing the fuckin' Millenium dome. That's right. As special guests of Dr Sunship, we'll be playing alongside Mis-Teeq, So Solid, Sun Cycle, and lots of other rowdy folk. It will RULE!

Keep an eye on the Gigs page of the site for updates. Holla!

June 2nd 2003: More to STUDY and more to HEAR!
Word! Enjoying the heatwave, the Crackers with the biggest Johnny Blaze jeans have beeen good enough to hit you all off with some new content.

Over on the Kool Kid Fresh page, dude's giving you brain food, posing the teaser, "What makes a country democratic"? What indeed?! And over on the Akira page, dude's got another banger for you to download. This is some nasty raw jungle shit, with a vocal from the ODB. Shimmy Shimmy Ya!

May 29th 2003: STUDY!
Hello Crackers! Today the Kool Kid Fresh section of Village is open! As the dear boy is doing his finals, he's deigned to share with you his clever political knowledge. More tomorrow too. Enjoy!

Head over to Gigs while you're at it, cos there are new ones. Go!

PS: Thanks to the Wu fam for the nice emails. And the MP3s.

May 22nd 2003: REMIX!
Calling those that like to fuck about! Head over to the Noize page to download the 'Save The Children' acapella. More coming soon. Remix! Bootleg! Chop up! Ansafone! BEBBEEEEEEH!

May 19th 2003: More Gratis NOISES!
Taking full advantage of the joy of the interweb, Akira has posted a tune he made last night on his page in the Village. It is called 'I Love Chris De Burgh', and since he hasn't finished the vocals, he's got his mates Method Man and Redman to fill in.

There will be lots of this sort of thing going on happily. Dr Scrilla has some shit from a radio show coming up. Bo is gonna do an advice column. Birddog might teach you to scratch! But you won't be as good as him. He's the BEST.

May 15th 2003: Slowly slowly catchy monkey. Izzit?
Those promised changes are creeping in... the VILLAGE section has evolved slightly, and shall continue to do so... most interesting from where we're standing, however, is the brand new Crack Villy Battle Board. It's nice to see you all being so nasty. We might start awarding prizes.
Send your love to the Kool Kid - he's about to do his finals. He is looking for a politics degree, but given the amount of work he's (not) done, we're predicting him a lot of tears. HAHAHAHAHA! We joke, Kool Kid is a clever little shit, and will probably get a first, despite being lazy.
It is also Akira's birthday on the 16th. He wants a Monopoly board.

May 9th 2003: Baby Bo is alive! And so is Crack Village Dot Com! Hollaaaaaaah!
Welcome one and all to the nice clean new CV site. New shit will be popping up all the time, so keep peeled. Today we have an exclusive and sweet MP3 for you, so head over to the NOIZE section and download 'Save The Children'.

The gig last week was wicked (Akira still has red paint on him which won't come off), and a big Thank You to Carpetface for filling Baby Bo's pants for the night. Bo is now back in London and ALIVE... so Worry...

And like we said, keep your eyes peeled. The VILLAGE section will soon be full of all manner of goodies, inclusing a preciew of Akira's forthcoming single, band diaries, and pictures of KKF's huge new HAIR. More on that shizznit soon.

April 11th: Cancellation! Revelation! DOOM!
Hello. We've been not updating you, right? Sorry about that. We've been busy, you see. We have recorded, and written, a LOT of classics, yagetme? And Baby Bo went missing for two weeks. And Akira was getting menaced by blokes with golf clubs. And Kool Kid has been expanding his political brain. And Mr Name? He's dandy. DANDY. As is B'Dawg.

As promised for ages, a new site is coming very soon, along with Crack Pants, new Crack Ts, Hats, and of course, MUSICS.

Ah, such musics! One of the things sounds like The goddamn Macarena. One sounds like a brain being pulped. One is very sweet indeed. etc. But don't take our word for it - ask God! He'll tell you the Truth.

OK, we will be making a spectacular live comeback on May 1st. MAY 1ST! Hear that? At the Rhythm factory. More soon...

February 27th: Beat on the Ded
Promoters are funny fucking things, and it's always a pleasure to meet an honest one.

Ho, ho. Anyway, this has been rap week for certain member of The Crack, who have seen Nas, Mocky, Buck 65, Infesticons… tonight it will be Dark Circle. Mmm-hmmm.

Catch Name 'n' Akira at Dedbeat tomorrow by the way. They'll be all over the place, rapping a lot, 'cos that's what they do. Indeed…

February 20th: PARDAAY! ONNA BOAT!!!
CDV are playing London this Friday the 21st... It's on a mighty BOAT, HMS President, opposite the OXO tower, Victoria Embankment Blackfriars...
We're playing with THE ROCKS, DJ RUBBISH and THE TUNGATE BROTHERS.
It's £7 on the door, but you can buy tickets for a fiver from Koobla Records, Berwick St., Soho. You can also get in for a fiver by getting a password from save_the_wolf@hotmail.com. 9pm 'till 3am, and we're on about 10:30...

February 3rd: Manchester is chilly dope fresh!
Wow, that was, like, the coolest show we've played in ages. Manchester is wicked, bubba, and we shall return post haste. Shit, those motherfuckers can party. Akira was so hyped he vomited for ten minutes afterwards. We look forward to returning…

January 31st: Heeeeeeeey Manchester!
Crack Villy will be eroding the fine skulls of Manchester this Saturday (Feb. 1st) at the Chips With Everything night in Manchester's Night And Day. Yes. And on the night previous, the Chips Records people are doing a night at the Monarch in C****n, where Name: Akira will be on the decks. So that's all good. More later - we have lyrics to write…

January 24th: Let's get ready to rumble...
Firstly - GIG! Sort of. Akira will make his debut solo appearance at the Rodeo VS Sonic Mook night at London's Catch 22 on Saturday. See gigs page for more.

OK, yes. That will be an odd one, and possibly terrible, but hell… why not? Anyway, the Crack Village VS Radioactive Man track is done, and fucking fat. It will appear on the third Sonic Mook LP, via Blast First, and also as a single in March.

Aside from that, right now we can tell you we're playing Night And Day in Manchester on February 1st (you know that already though, right?) and we're Djing the AMP party on Feruary 11th with the 80s Matchbox, Kevvy Kev, Filthy Les, The Legendary Jessy Belle and Ben Wardle. More soon babies…

January 6th: Happy New Year...
And no doubt it will be. Or perhaps just Strange and Terrible. Whatever. It's Necessary and Right, all of it, and we shall grab it by the cock and YANK, brothers and sisters.

Crack Village had a busy New Year's Eve - With Baby Bo sunning her self in the Maldives, it was left to Akira, Name and Kool Kid to kill 2002. Which they did. First as guests of The Beatings at The Garage, where they joined said noisy rock fucks for rousing covers of 'Walk This Way', 'Fight For Your Right…' and a freestyle thing. Ladies threw pants. Booze was split. All good. They then sped off to the East End to do the Hoxton Pimps thing and the Sonic Mook party, then lost their voices and flopped, all fucked and throaty, with Kay BAps and her kind, wearing nighties and robes.

As said, this look set to be a crazed year. First booked Crack live action is at the Chips With Everything night in Manchester's Night And Day, February 1st. More news soon - there's singles, tour action, and some globe trotting. Stay awake, you sick fucks.

December 23rd: From PlayLouder...
"DIG THE NEW BREED...
Ikara Colt, Beatings, Crack Village and Aphex Twin?!
23.dec.02

Crack Village held the last of their New Breed Soundsytem nights at London's Betsy Trotwood on Saturday, and, as one would expect, it was a banger.

Themed "the rock monster", Crack Village were joined by members of Ikara Colt, The Beatings, The Black Madonnas, Son Of King Rebel and DrinkMe for a night of instrument swapping, ace records, and weird collaborations. Amongst the eerily star-studded crowd were members of The Fall, Oki Dog, Matrioshka, and this one boggled us Aphex Twin showed up, and appeared to be enjoying himself banging his head about for much of resident turntable guru 2-Bit Friends' incredible final set, and muttering "Crack Village... goddamn... sick punks..." or something similar.

"A fucking weird, fucking brilliant night," commented Nick Beatings, making slightly more sense, before he fell over."

December 20th: Happy Christmas!
Happy Merry, you terrible swine. It's been a great year for the Crack, and we have liked it. Thank you for your Fun. It's our last gig of the year on Saturday, and the final New Breed Soundsystem - we got lots of happy rock people with us too. Should be lots of fun. LOTS OF FUN! See ya there.

December 13th: Illadry!
Sorry about the lack of updates kids - Akira, who writes this shit, has been ill. He is now not ill (aside from referring to himself in the third, which is ill indeed), and can a: thank you for being so nice on Friday and Saturday, thank Erol for lending his DJing skills, everyone that played on Saturday, and,,, yeah, that shit. Big site update/redesign on it's way, but 'till then... we're on the cover of Sleaze Nation! But not on the inside! Weird, non?

December 6th: Come on! Giggin!

December 3rd: Oi! Oi! It's Akira and Erlend Oye!
Busy Crackers, eh? We spent the weekend holed up in Mute's studios recording a tune called 'Save The Children', featuring hot-as-hell new rapper Jake Lake AKA MC Explosive... then Akira popped down the Eve Club for the Source Christmas party last night, where Audio Bully's and our man Erlend Oye, him wot used to be in Kings Of Convenience, were aven it. Akira was, obviously, invited up to rock that mic, and did, forcefully, and even managed to convince Erlend to drop some science. Look out for a collaboration in the new year.

Oh, and it's the HIP HOP NBS on Saturday - check the gigs page...

November 25th: Holler!
Cheers to all of Saturday's heroes… it was wicked… Thor, Jesse, SOKR, SLUB, Team Cypher, 2 Bit, the staff, the people, all of you. Excellent.

Next one will be for the Headz (arf), so put December 7th in your Goddamn diary.

We were recording over the weekend too, in Mute's nice studios. The songs are 'Svae The Children', and an as-yet-untitled banger…

Next will be the Hip-hop/breaks edition (Dec 7th), and we shall wind up 2002 with a Rock Monster (Dec 21st)… It's at Betsy Trotwood, Farringdon Road, EC1, which is fucking small and cool, and it's £4/£5 to get in. It runs from 8pm 'til 1am, and you best get there early Bubba…

November 14th: BLACKBALLED!
Crack Village have been barred from ever playing Holiday Camp based indie festival All Tomorrows Parties. Boo hoo. Akira got an e-mail from organizer Barry Hogan today, inviting CV to play. 'Why not, what's the dizzy?' he replied, and was surprised to get an e-mail back, mere seconds later, going 'Ha ha you can't ever actually, 'cos I hate you'. Good one Barry!
In other news, midweek single sales indicate there are but half the amount there were left! Buy! Buy!

November 12th: Onward to Glory!
Crack Village forgot about the radio 'till last week, when we figured we oughta send a few peeps a 12". So we did. And last night, we're told, John Kennedy played 'DP' on his XFM show, so that's good. More! More! Buy the single! Stuff!

November 11th: Crack Out!
Cheers to all youse that made it on Saturday - it was delightfully shambolic, Carpet Face ruled, we ruled, 2 Bit Friends ruled, Dufflecoat Mafia ruled, everybody fucken ruled. Yeah! And Milan was fun too. There'll be a video diary on soon. Oh yeah. We been some busy crackers. And will continue to be. Anyway, our singles in the shops today, so GO BUY IT!!October 30th: WETWETWET!
AKira knocked himself out, Scrilla got cut up, Lois had to run for her life from hordes of groupies - Bikini BAndits was cool. You can see some photos here, and we'll be getting a load more up soon as.
Anyway, cheers to the 80s Matchbox, Dave, and all concerned...
This week your Crack are readying the Betsy Trotwood Sessions, more of whihc soon, and remixing tracks by Junkboy and King Of Woolworths for Moshi Moshi and Mantra, respectively...

October 25th: BIKINI! BANDITS!
We have been mad busy, so sorry about the lack of updates... lots on Monday, we promise...

CVxx

October 18th: GET YE TO CHERRY JAM!...
Crack Village headline High Society at Cherry Jam, 58 Porchester Rd. W2, next to Royal Oak tube, Queensway, or Bayswater. Tuesday coming. Free B4 8, £4 after. You best go, son. Support from Wade Crescent, playing some country-ass shit for the ladies.
PLUS: Akira, and maybe some of the droogz will be guesting with SLUB and CORMAKK at Public Life, which is by Spittafields on Sunday. That's where you saw us spittin' with Carpet Face on Tuesday. That, by the way, was dope, although White Mike wuz ill and that.

October 16th: From CAFFE LATTE (Italian magazine)...
"Thank fuck for London's Crack Village, who rap punk electro hip hop with mountains of filthy mouthfuls of sexual lyrics, absolutely brilliant."

October 15th: From The Fly...
"Deep Penetration
Crack Village are the kind of act Damon Albarn would love to muscle in on. Self-depreciating and stylish, this is hip-hop with ethnicity and melody- it may just shake some life into the scene before it dies of Taking Itself Way Too Fucking Seriously..."

October 14th: New Breed Soundsystem...
CV's New Breed core join the mighty Carpet Face, Lost Souls and the Reflex Records mob for a night of beats, rap 'n' bullshit at Public Life, Spittafields, on october 15th. That's next Tuesday. Entry is FREE, and it goes from 8 'till 1...
That is all...

October 3rd: FROM FULL CIRCLE
"Crack Village 'Deep Penetration'
If Detroit techno was George Clinton and Derrick May stuck in an elevator, then Crack Village are Ian Dury and The Blockheads stuck on the Old Kent Road with Eric (not Derek) B and The Streets on speed. It's stoopid fresh, smart and funny ('never be as bored/ as the Stereophonics') and spot-on perfect for right here, right now."

October 2nd: BUSY BUSY…
We have been well busy, little Cracklings, so apologies for the lack of updates. We've recorded lots of stuff, done a remix for that Junkboy mob, lots of writing, a showcase for some suited types and lots of dancing girls, and lots of random graffiti in the East End. All good. Lots of new things happening, but in the meantime, have a look at another review of 'DP'…

September 24: HEAR: DEEP PENETRATION!
Click here to listen to 'Deep Penetration', the other track from our single, out now...

Then go to the NOIZE page and download the accapellas. And do a remix. Why not? It's fun...

September 19: FROM THIS MONTH'S JOCKEY SLUT...
CRACK VILLAGE
Deep Penetration (New Breed Crew)
Lifting a melody line from 'Midnight Cowboy' whacking a super cheap hip-house (hurrah!) beat behind it and firing off wacko lyrics galore, Crack Village deliver one of the most attention grabbing tunes of recent times: deep, cheap and probably pretty funny if you can work out what's being said. Chilly Gonzales is part of their gang. We like this.

September 18: FROM TODAY'S NME...
Crack Village
Deep Penetration/The Snake (New Breed Crew)
Given their name and heavy presence in the gazettes of Hoxton twattery, you'd expect this single to be style-over-content garage rock bobbins. Wrong - Crack Village are actually a hip-hop act as clever, funny and sexually charged as Gonzales, their associate and obvious inspiration. 'Deep Penetration' is the superior song - a fiddle through pop's forgotten back pages (East 17's 'Deep' and The Village People's 'Go West' both get a mention) before a female singer makes her needs clear - "I need seven and a half inches/I need deep penetration". Well, if you don't ask, you don't get. As Crack Village say elsewhere in the song, "It could never be as boring as The Stereophonics."
Respect.
Alex Needham

September 17: CRACK SLAP CATCH!
Catch 22 on Saturday was fucking smart - sold out, heaving, 80-odd turned away at the door (sorry to those that couldn't get in - best get down earlier next time kidz)… If any of you got photos, it'd be nice to see them - as ever we didn't bother to sort anything out. Or did we? Memory bad.
Anyway, the first review, courtesy of Disorder, is up and readable here, so go have a look. And if you've yet to, explore the site, as there are many a new photo, and TUNE…

September 10: GIG! SONG! GIG!
Right! We're playing Wade Crescent's RODEO night at Catch 22, Kingsland Rd. this Saturday, September 14th. So there.
Support comes from Yummi Yummi. Your DJs will be R Money (Trash), Jono and David (dark and Dirty) and The Standard Wonder Collective. Robert The Poet will provide grunting.
Free CD for first 50 through the doors, featuring us, amongst others.
9:30 - 2am. £5/£3.
PLUS: go to the Noize page, and you can listen to The Snake, one of the tracks from our forthcoming single...

September 02: VIVE LA CRACK! Or is it Le?
Paris rocks the fucking party motherfuckers. It was utterly dope. Dope in excelsis. So hot it burned with hellfire and some of us cried with joy.
The best gig Crack Village ever did? Looks that way.
Baby Bo drove, and no one died. Kool Kid had just come back from Australia, and didn't even cry a BIT. Dollar Bill kept it surreal. Slepton was a DJ. Akira felt God in his belly, but kept it to himself.
So thank you Sean, Ludo, all of you. We will be back soon.
"I think you are the best thing we see in France since Prodigy," said one guy. "You like hip-hop, but you say 'Puff Daddy Suck My Dick'," wept another.
Come on.

August 28 2002: Sluts! And stuff.
We have T Shirts! We have T Shirts! And you can have them too. A shop will be set up very soon, but in the meantime, you can e-mail about it. They're a tenner, they come in small and large, they glow like fuck in clubs, and they say "CRACK VILLAGE". What more could you want?
Meanwhile, keen viewers will have noticed two Crack Village related news stories in Jockey Slut today. Tres amusement.

August 22 2002: SEXY NEW BOARD!
Right, after the amusing shenanigans with the last board (sabotaged - in a vaguely amusing manner - by green eyed anicientry), stop gapped by a weak Boardhost thing, Crack Village now have a scum-fuck-sexy new messageboard. You can get it by clicking here. We suggest you "join" cos then you get to put a picture next to your name and stuff, which we like. Anyway, go have fun.

August 21 2002: AKIRA SHAGS WEIRD PAPER MACHE WOMAN!
The ARK video is done, and you can see it here. That is all!

August 19 2002: PARIS! BOAT! PARTY!
Right, it's sorted - Crack Village play Le Batofar, a nice boat on the Seine, Paris, on August 31st. Whoop!

It's a Sonic Mook thing - Crack Village are the main band, and DJ action comes from Keith Teniswood (Two Lone Swordsmen), Sean McLusky and Slepton.
Details then:
"SONIC MOOK EXPERIMENT

August 13 2002: Missing You
We miss you Kool Kid Fresh! Come home, you div. Also missing in action - DJ Slepton (useless cunt) and SJ Artscum (nudey cunt). Ah well. Bo's back from Italy, so we can work again.

The NBC Soundsystem was fun - we played lots of raga and The Darkness. And broke a table, emceeing on it. Oops. Mothboy's set fucked up for some reason, sorry mate! Poor swine.
Oh, we're opening a shop here soon. It will sell T Shirts and records. What else should it sell? Suggestions to the usual address…

August 08 2002: Rain on me/Soundsystem go
Hey kids… as you will have noticed, we have a new site design, which rocks - cheers Mr John - and there will be all manner of new stuff, photos, etc. over the coming weeks. Whoo!

Anyway, in case you didn't know, we're doing a New Breed Soundsydstem thing at London's Foundry tonight - we're playing with Aphid Tracks, and repping the Breed will be Akira, Name, Baby BO, and Slub's Alex…

August 5th 2002: Summer's over/Let's all kill ourselves.
More changes this week… None of any interest to you greedy swine, however.
Crack Village has its first cover mention this week - supposedly up market lad-mag Arena. It's an interview with Baby Bo about the band and her acting and stuff, and the photos are stunning, oh yes they are.

Our photo section needs updating, as you may have noticed. We have lots to put up, when web-man John comes back from afar, and if you have any, we'd love to see them. E-mail adam. alphabet@playlouder.com.

Our gig schedule is still confused, but keep September free and follow us around on tour, why dontcha. Aiight?

July 25th 2002: Summer works/Let's all kill ourselves.
Some changes this week…
Crack Village have released their manager from his invisible contract, so he can now run free around Camden without having to worry about how to explain Crack Village's greatness without sounding stupid. Therefore, fiddly enquires should be directed to Adam Alphabet. Press enquires should b directed to Excess Press.
Oh, and the single's finished, and comes out through our New Breed Crew label on September 9th. It will be a double A Side of Deep Penetration and The Snake. Yeah.

July 19 2002: YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN SHIT!
Keen shelf browsers will today have noticed Crack Village in Dazed And Confused. It's a lovely full page article with ace photo and it's good. And we're, bizarrely, sharing an issue with our mates The Beatings and The Darkness. Fact!
Sadly, Baby Bo has gone AWOL and cannot share the joy. Shame.

JULY STYLE MAG COUNT THUSFAR:
Dazed And Confused: Crack Village interview and pics, page 23.
The Face: Crack Village share a page with Ikara Colt and Liars. Small world...
ID: Akira, Crack Ref.
Sleaze Nation: Baby Bo, live at ICA.
THAT'LL DO!

July 18 2002: YOU NEED LEADERSHIP!
Crack Village have nearly finished recording their double A side single, 'Deep Penetration' and… erm, we've yet to give it a title. But they're both monster, and at least one's invented a new genre on it's own. Keep you posted anyway.
Plus: we've got some gigs lined up. Not till September though. Paris, London, Milan, so that'll be fun.
Anyway, there's another on-line review of us. Here.
JULY STYLE MAG COUNT THUSFAR:
The Face: Crack Village share a page with Ikara Colt and Liars. Small world...
ID: Akira, Crack Ref.
Sleaze Nation: Baby Bo, live at ICA.
YET MORE!

July 15 2002: Cocks! Asses! RUDE!
It was a rude gig then - KKF got his head all shaved into some werid moheican shit, Akira wore a skirt and flashed his cock a bit, Bo's tits fell out, everyone got their asses out... Fun was had by all. And The Darkness were hot.
Anyway, if you ain't already, get over here and download Bonfire Of The Vanities. Aiight?
JULY STYLE MAG COUNT THUSFAR:
ID: Akira, Crack Ref.
Sleaze Nation: Baby Bo, live at ICA.
MORE!

July 10 2002: GIG! Interview! Etc!
Well, we hope you're all coming to the Water Rats tonight to see Crack Village and The Darkness, cos it's the best idea, really, what with us being ace and them being ace an' all. Oh, and did you see that interview on PlayLouder? You should. Go have a look now - here

July 08 2002: Triumph! PLUS: Singles Club!
Yep, Akira [Alphabet] rocked the 3000 strong Eden Project crowd as special guest of Chilly Gonzales on Friday, before joining the man in some impromptu flossing, and a run through the ol' 'Hit 'em with a high'. Twas ace. The the Crack broke into the Mediterranean biosphere where they drank and rapped and slept a bit. Gorgeous.
Anyway, that out of the way, we must concentrate on the future, and right now that involves the PlayLouder Singles Club, which Crack Village are starring in this week. One - a new track, 'Bonfire Of The Vanities', which you can download, and Two - a gig, at Kings Cross' Water Rats theatre, with support form Xan and The Darkness. For full info, and of course, that track, hot PlayLouder.

July 04 2002: Crack Village VS Chilly Gonzales!
Yes, you read that correctly… Friday July 5th, The Eden Project, Cornwall - Crack Village emcee Akira (Alphabet) will battle Chilly Gonzales live onstage. Fact!
also playing are Pulp and British Sea Power. We think.

July 2nd 2002: Smashing up dressing rooms! Playing Glasto! The CV rumour mill goes mental! Er!
Apologies to those unfortunate enough to witness the horribly silly debacle that was Crack Village at Lipgloss last Thursday. Stay Beautiful is now merely the second worst club in London. Whoop!

Not sure who's spreading those "they smashed up the dressing room" rumours, but, erm, cheers… more hype!

What actually happened was rather less sexy - first we hung around for three hours waiting for the promoters to turn up, then we were told there was no booze as "the club never gave us any" - lads, what happens is, promoters BUY booze for bands from the venue. No matter - P$ found the spirits stash and Crack and Cosmetique got pissed, cheers.

As for the gig… over an hour late onstage, then three of the mikes barely worked, and the backing track was practically non-existent… so we pillaged and destroyed the thing like Vikings.

Then poor Bo had a tantrum and stormed home (she had to be filming the Bill at 4am), Akira got frog marched out of the building by security and told never to return.

There was plenty more nastiness, but never mind - it's all, as someone said, rock 'n' roll, and had our unscathed ascendancy continued as it was we'd have a bigger collective head than The Libertines.

So onward - PlayLouder Singles Club next week, and Crack Village will play the best gig of their brief career at the Water Rats on July 11th. Support comes from the fuck-mighty Darkness. Whoo!

Oh yeah - whoever started that "Crack Village are playing the main stage on Sunday at Glasto" rumour… cheers!
